She has extensive knowledge and experience in diversity skills and relationship team building. She holds a degree in Nursing from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center, Philippines. She is the recipient of the 2009 Chicago Filipino American Hall of Fame- Nursing Volunteer Award.
