About Cheryl
Cheryl worked in the restaurant business for the past 27 years, the last 12 in management. Cheryl has managed staffs of 24 to 100 employees. Opening 12 restuarants, and training everyone from the dishwashers to the Managers, Cheryl brings her background in educating, encouraging and guiding her staff in all aspects of life and business, to her life coaching. After all, what is a manager but a great coach leading a team? Becoming a Life Coach was a natural progression and has become the new chapter in Cheryl's life.
Prior to becoming a certified life coach, Cheryl experienced an injury and could no longer work the long 14-hour days of a restaurant manager. Cheryl saw the injury as a form of a blessing and became an ordained minister through the study of philosophy of theology.
Cheryl has also grown through some personal chapters that some would call devastating. A survivor of cancer, rape, and alcoholism has given her insight to places that some don’t come back from. Her faith, family and certain people who “appeared” in her life have given her the courage to go on.

When Life Coach Cheryl came into my life, I was suffering with depression, fear and confidence. My life revolved around my alcoholic husband and me trying to keep peace in my home. After our first session I felt relief from my depressing life that was at a stand still. She helped me focus on what was important in life. Since the day I met Cheryl I have been impressed by her generosity, insight and open mindedness. When I first met Cheryl, it was at the beginning of my career in the restaurant industry. I was working as a server and Cheryl was one of my managers. After being a productive part of the staff and moving through the ranks from server, to trainer, I wanted to become a bartender. Thanks to Cheryl, I did. She gave me the courage to approach the General Manager; she helped me overcome my fear of rejection and boosted my self-esteem.
The beautiful thing about Cheryl is that she helps you see and achieve your goals. Cheryl does all this by enabling you to see through your fears, and on your own. I think I’ve written more letters and lists of pros and cons since I’ve met Cheryl than any time in my life. Life Coach Cheryl means the world to me Cheryl came into my life at a point where I was put out with the trash. My husband had beaten me so badly it took 3 weeks to heal from my wounds. My children, 4 and 6, and I were taken to a shelter for battered women. I am 23, and have been married since I was 18. My husband had abused me both verbally and physically the whole six years we were together. I was told as a little girl, I was ugly, and no one would want me, so I thought when I found my husband, he was the only one who would ever love me. I thought I deserved all that he did. I was a no one.
Cheryl volunteers at the Shelter we were taken to. When I met her, there was a peace about her, that made me feel very comfortable. She told me she was a life coach, and could work with me when I was ready.
I never thought or felt good things about myself before in my life. My children have known mostly anger and fear all their lives. The first thing Cheryl worked on with me was my self-esteem. I had none. She has helped me to face my fears, one of them, fear of being me. Cheryl has helped me to figure out who I am. I am a woman, I am a mother, and I am a worthy person.
Cheryl is helping me work through my anger, by making me write letters to all, including myself. It helps me to understand me, and what I’m angry about.
My girls are even more important to me now, because I realize for the first time that someone loves me for me. Cheryl helped me to realize that. We are working on communication and how I would like to talk to people.
I didn’t realize I was smart. But Cheryl has helped me realize I can make my own decisions, if I just ask myself the right questions.
I hope to know Cheryl a long time. She truly cares about me and my children. The caring way she is to us is very real. I feel so much stronger a person in the past 3 months, then I have ever felt in my life, and I owe a lot of that to Cheryl.

My Mentor/Boss/Friend-Cheryl
I first met Cheryl at the age of 16. She hired me for my first job, a hostess for a restaurant. She kind of took me under her wing, as she did most all of her 100 employees. It seemed as a general manager she was always busy, but always had a minute to talk if I needed her.
She guided me through some tough teenage decisions while keeping me goal oriented at work. By the time I graduated, she had promoted me to server, so I could make money for college. I went away to so. Cal. To school, but came home from college at holidays, like Christmas and Easter. Cheryl always let me come back to work while I was home, she let all of us come back (that were good enough) it was always just like a family.
Cheryl created that atmosphere; we were always important, always special and always close.
I didn’t know what to do when I graduated from college, Cheryl suggested I come back and work as a waitress till I figured it out. During those 8 years the staff turnover was barely half. You see, Cheryl had created such an awesome environment no one wanted to leave. We nicknamed her CherBear, like a Care Bear.
One day she told me to write out a 30, 60, 90-day goal sheet for myself. Then she asked me how I was going to get there. What I love about her is she never tells you what to do; she makes you figure it out, with helpful suggestions of course.
A life and Business Coach is a natural progression for Cheryl. She was a great manager, is a great friend and I feel like she is an amazing woman. Everyone should have a CherBear in his or her corner.
By the way, I am now a successful General Manager at a Restaurant. If I ever have a difficult decision to make, I usually run it by Cher, she gives it clarity.
