Is your child struggling in school? Does your child lack the motivation to learn?
I have helped many elementary school students improve their skills and grades through my tutoring services. As an Academic Coach, I take tutoring to the next level. While tutoring focuses on a content area a child is struggling with, academic coaching helps the child in other ways that will help improve overall success in school. Academic Coaching still involves tutoring and helping a child with specific skills, however, it goes beyond traditional tutoring and addresses other areas that may be affecting a child\'s performance in school. As an academic coach, I will help your child to discover what his or her obstacles are and together we will develop a plan of action to overcome the obstacles and lead your child toward behaviors and attitudes that could lead to long term academic success. Some of the areas that could be worked on are: building your child's confidence, motivating your child to want to learn, helping your child discover how he or she learns best (what your child's learning style is), developing note taking, organizational, time management, and test taking skills and more. This service is very personalized and is catered to your child's personal academic goals and needs. It is a partnership amongst the parent, your child and me; your personal academic coach. Your child will be held accountable for doing the tasks necessary to be his or her personal best in school. The goal is for your child to want to be his personal best, to feel good about himself and to celebrate his own achievements and personal success.
