Melissa is a personal and professional coach that specializes in helping individuals find their life’s instruction manual through a systematic process.

She believes each person is extraordinary and has unique talents and ideas.  In her experience, individuals are akin to good books and must be discovered by reading each page not just the dust jacket.

Coach Melissa is especially interested in working with women and young women to assist them in gaining balance in their lives however; she will work with any person that desires to find their purpose.

When working with individuals, she focuses on the whole person and uses tools such as goal setting, personal empowerment, personality typing through MBTI™ type assessment (coming July 2010), and financial counseling to aid in their discovery.

In addition to life and financial coaching, she provides success coaching for businesses, executives, teams, professional speakers, and authors.

She has extensive experience in process development and documentation using logical methods and common sense practices.  In addition, she has over 7 years experience in government and corporate training.

Melissa has worked with many professional speakers and authors over the last 10 years.  She has assisted them in goal setting, marketing, editing, and design.  If you are an aspiring speaker or author, she can assist you in making the transition into these fields.

Coach Melissa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Aeronautical Science specializing in Aviation/Aerospace Education Technology.

Although both degrees and the numerous letters behind her name seem to be impressive to most people, Melissa sees them as paths to her life’s purpose.  Upon looking at her resume, you would find her career path has been quite the journey.  She sometimes feels that she has been All Around the world in search of her true bliss.

Melissa has worked in numerous industries from retail to institutes of higher learning.  She even owned and operated her own lawn care business during her journey!  Although all of the experiences were interesting, she found each of the experiences unfulfilling.

For over 15-years, Melissa has worked on and off with her life coach and friend, Cherryl, to refocus and reprioritize her life and goals.  Even during her most devistating setbacks, Cherryl was always there to be her champion, cheerleader, and grounded her when she was too far off track.

One day, she was working with Cherryl and realized that she was coaching her coach!  As she looked over her lifetime, she found that she was always a natural coach for the individuals in her life, businesses she had worked with, and professional speakers and authors that were put in her path.

EUREKA!  Someone finally turned on the lights.  She knew what her purpose was – Coaching!

After attending the FWI Certified Professional Coach Training, Melissa resigned from her job with a government agency, embarked on her dream, and founded All Around Consulting, LLC.  Melissa has been accepted to attend the MBTI™ Certification training and will be able to offer this to her clients in mid-2010.

Coach Melissa is a Reiki Level II practitioner and will obtain her Reiki Master Teacher designation by the end of 2010.
