Ann’s 3rd grade teacher labeled her as an “abnormally shy little girl.” Later she followed an ironic life path that included service as an Army officer for 20 years, where she learned to survive and thrive with a lot of tough guys. As an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant with the U. S. Army, Ann assisted many commanders through military organization transitions. She has since incorporated that process into working with personal as well as organizational transitions. After her military life, Ann’s life journey led her to work in both community and school settings as a licensed professional counselor with children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens with a focus on problem prevention and personal empowerment. She completed her PhD in Counseling and Health Psychology from Walden University. Ann has numerous journal articles which focus on wellness and also writes a weekly newspaper column on wellness issues for senior adults. Topics that Ann frequently presents seminars on represent her focus in coaching.
