Melanie Greenberg, B.A., CPC
Certified Professional Coach, Specializing in Parenting, Self Esteem and Living Authentically
One of my goals as a certified coach is to help you connect with what is important to you. Knowing ourselves and trusting ourselves to know what we need can be very empowering. I offer support as a parent coach, as well as a self-esteem coach and ethics coach (living authentically) because I feel that they are interconnected.
Are you tired of the power struggles?
Let me help you find your own answers to the challenges you are facing as a parent. Whether you have a newborn or an older child, situations will arise that can leave you feeling confused and anxious.
I would like to help you gain perspective and reclaim what you already know to be true about yourself and your child. We can spend time exploring your ideas about parenting that have worked for you, and examine areas that have been more challenging.
I believe it is important that our parenting style be in line with our core beliefs. If we try to parent based on information that does not resonate with our core values, it will become difficult to be consistent in our parenting. We are more likely to be consistent with our children, even through the difficult periods, if we base our parenting choices on what we care about and what feels right to us.
Together we can explore what you already know to be true about yourself and your child. From there we can work on what might need to shift in order to get you and your child through the more challenging stages of development. I like to take a more holistic approach to any given situation and look at something from more than one angle. I feel that this will give us a better chance of creating the best outcome for our efforts.
I practice attachment style parenting, home schooled my children for many years, and have experience with sensitive or slow to warm children.
What People are Saying About Melanie
"I have known Melanie for more than two decades, and have observed her over many years in her work with both her own children, as a preschool teacher, and as an insightful guide to other parents."
"Melanie is unusually sensitive, and intuitive when dealing with children and parents. She is by nature gentle, caring, and nurturing. She has enhanced her natural talents with formal study of early childhood development, as well as in her own experiences with parenting. She has applied her own undergraduate degree in sociology with coursework in coaching and early childhood education to create a unique blend of talent, academic knowledge, and the wisdom that comes from experience. All of this informs her work as a parenting coach."
"Perhaps the best recommendation I can give her relates to watching how her own children have thrived under her care as a mother, and as a homeschooling teacher. They are both marvelous young people, who continue to amaze me in their own groundedness, passion, and awareness of who they are as people."
"I highly recommend her as a parenting coach."
Shawnee Cuzzillo, PhD
Melanie has been an inspirational person for me as a parent and person. I have known Melanie for four and a half years, along with her two amazing children. She has helped me with parenting ideas in dealing with my fifteen-year-old son especially in regards to homework and discipline. Her teenagers both hold straight A’s in High school, which, I am sure, is because of her involvement, consistency and patience that she has with them.
Melanie is a unique individual. One that is knowledgeable, compassionate and sincere. She recently helped me create a vision statement that touched my soul and brought tears of joy to my eyes. Once you talk with her, you will see that she is someone that understands with compassion, helps with kindness and guides with clarity.
Melanie is someone you can trust to do what she feels is best for you because she listens and cares.
