 Why have a coach?

A coach is someone on your team, focused on motivating you to attain your true goals, with only your best interests in mind. Does this sound exciting? If so, you would enjoy working with a coach.

About Holly

Holly Andrews is a Certified Professional Coach. She has practiced the 12 steps as a way of life since 1990 and coached others to improve the balance in their lives, set boundaries and grow spiritually as a volunteer for over 15 years before launching her coaching practice. She knows what it is like to live with health challenges since her journey with back pain began when she was in her teens. Health issues plagued her as a teen and well into college. Nonetheless, she completed three college degrees while wearing a back brace 18 hours a day, tutoring disadvantaged youth much of the time. Her life changing spiritual journey began at this time. Since her recovery in 1992, she has lived a physically active life.

Perhaps because of this experience, at 42, she takes care of herself at an unusually high standard and motivates and inspires others to do the same. She meditates daily, does creative writing, practices and facilitates the work of Byron Katie and eats a raw vegan diet. She is certified yoga instructor and is trained in several styles of dance. She currently performs with a local hip-hop dance troupe. She is the creator of the “Dance-Write Consortium.”

“She has holistically achieved wellness and personal growth achievement in all areas of her life – physical, relational, spiritual, emotional, etc.” -- Sarah Reeve

She is also an adult educator, writer and artist and currently lives with her husband and two cats in La Jolla, California. She is working on a new book, "How to Install a Habit for Life."

“She has holistically achieved wellness and personal growth achievement in all areas of her life – physical, relational, spiritual, emotional, etc.” -- Sarah Reeve

Here's what people have to say about Holly

“In terms of personal coaching, I would say without a doubt that your greatest strength is your ability to almost instantly "get" what another person is feeling and also why they are feeling that way.  In the time I have known you there are countless times I started to tell you a story thinking I needed to give you mountains of details for you to really understand what it was I was feeling.  But within a few sentences you already understood it.  I can tell you from having spoken with many people, that this is a very special gift.

If I had the opportunity to mention a second gift, I would say you are extremely extemporaneously articulate...another rare and wonderful gift for a coach.” -- Catherine S.

“Holly is unafraid to let her inner quirkiness shine and because of this she gives others permission to do the same. Her creative spirit gently provokes weird and wonderful exploration in everyone around her. I personally admire her ability to be genuine and authentic under any circumstances. She is also unnervingly perceptive and can penetrate through a person’s B.S. quickly and effortlessly to get to the core issue.”
-- Sarah Reeve

“I just wonder how I ever was so blessed to have someone in my life as you with such knowledge, and vitality and passion.  Thank you for that.” -- Carmen Perilloux

“You have a high commitment to self care. It includes, beyond the obvious and very important eating, setting boundaries, getting enough rest, is your willingness to try a whole range of new and different things.  You teach math, you also write screenplays, paint, exercise, sing, play guitar (I could go on...)

In terms of personal coaching, I believe this core strength feeds into your ability to see beyond commonly perceived restrictions (and in fact, often to seemingly not even notice those limitations) and is a fantastic asset for a coach to have.” – Catherine S.

 Community involvement

Offered a free yoga class for a year at UCSD through a student club
Board member of her local San Diego Council on Literacy
Performs with a local environmental hip hop dance troupe, Kruciaal Element

Why I Decided to Become a Coach

“Few of us know what we are capable of doing . . . We have never pushed ourselves hard enough to find out.” -- Alfred A. Montapert

Like athletes who are at the top of their game, you can harness the power of personal coaching to upgrade your life. You can grow from your current level of achievement to the type of success of which you’ve always dreamed.

Coaching is for those who want the most out of life. Are you living the kind of life you want or are others pulling the strings?

“I am an expert in holistically achieved wellness. I do work, relationships and play that I love. I am an expert in having fun and my true passion is to help people identify and pursue their strengths, passions and gifts.

I genuinely want everyone in the world to love life as I do.” – Holly Andrews
