Karen Lewis MS, CCJS, CPC

Certified Life Coach. Certified Anger Management Specialist

A significant part of coaching is the ability to help a person get transition from the life they are living to a life that is moving forward. Transitioning from the negative to the positive is a new way of thinking. No lasting change comes until the mind changes first.
Recovery When you really understand the “why” of your recovery, you will begin to
understand the potential of what you can do in your life. I can help you do that. I will walk the recovery journey with you be it from addiction to substances, people or just plain negative thinking.

Motivation

Are you honest with yourself about the recovery and the motivation you are using to change? Being willing to change means you have to admit that change is needed and change is possible. I can help make that change.'

Karen is a member of the International Association of Coaching.

Welcome to the website of Karen Lewis, professional life coach. In life’s journey each person is faced with decisions that must be made. Are you a little confused? Exploring new territory? Doing well but wondering how to get more out of life? Stopped by your fears? Bumping up against issues in your life, career, business . . . ? The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Life coaching does just that. It is a personal service providing clients with feedback, insights and guidance from an outside vantage point. Coaching is similar to the practice of counseling, but the major difference is the approach. The type of coaching I offer will help you with the choices that you are presented with on a daily basis. Let's sit down and talk about all of this and the positive impact life coaching can have on your life.

Karen Lewis brings her 23 years of education and experience into service for the recovery of alcohol and substance addictions. Her commitment is fueled by first-hand experience with tragedy and her keen awareness of the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse, including a high incidence probability of incarceration, and court-monitored probation. Karen Lewis

Karen’s extensive experience as an Island County, WA probation officer trained her to listen and see each individual as a whole person with specific challenges. She developed her unique method to co-design a road map for success, which has helped countless individuals recover from addiction and free themselves from the tangled web of the criminal justice system.

Karen has long been a community educator in the dangers of impaired driving and has developed an Anger Management curriculum as a living document that she teaches as a private provider. Her students express surprise that her program is neither punishing or judgmental. Instead, her course is highly supportive and applicable to their personal
plights.

Through her Masters Degree in Community Counseling and Family Therapy, her certifications as an Anger Management Specialist, training in the effect of alcohol/drug treatment options, domestic/sexual abuse training, certified Criminal Justice Specialist, and her passion to serve, Karen has coalesced her recovery coaching program, Impact for
Life.

What People Say About Karen

I have been blessed to have crossed paths with Karen Lewis along my journey through life and recovery. Karen's knowledge and understanding of addictions helped me greatly at an extreme lowpoint in my life. She always, since the first time I met with her, respected me as a worthwhile person going through hard times. Karen's belief in me greatly affected
my attitude toward myself and supported me to keep going strong in my recovery as well as other personal life trials. I will forever hold Karen dear in my heart.
Heather K.

I will always remember the first few meetings we had. The first time I met you I felt like you understood me. You did not treat me as a criminal. You created a relationship and connected with me. I felt some personal connection which then creates accountability by me. I felt that someone believed in me or at least believed that I was not a loser.
